I and the Lord
a poem by:
Lisa L. Coffey
I knocked at the Lord's house dirty and sinful,
But the Lord met me at the door.
I greeted the Lord with hate and envy,
But the Lord greeted me with compassion.
I insulted the Lord with my filthy tongue,
But the Lord spoke to me with only loving words.
I beat and bruised the Lord's children,
But the Lord took care of my wounds first.
I tried to push the Lord from me,
But the Lord held me gently to Him.
I had entered the Lord's house dirty and sinful,
But the Lord washed it away with His love.

Here's a picture of the very first quilt I've ever made.
A log cabin in the fields & furrows pattern.
