Francois Frank Hermenegilde Cote-Coaty-Coady

My interest in Genealogy grew as I attempted to reconstruct the whereabouts of this man, my Grandfather, Frank Cote. He left Rhode Island, abandoning his family, in 1910. He returned to Rhode Island 41 years later, in 1951. The reason for his departure may have been to seek employment; his motivation for not returning for over forty years is unknown.

I am attempting to learn about where he traveled and what he did during these years away from his family. I believe that he was in Connecticut and the mid-west; he may have even traveled as far away as New Mexico and Texas as he talked about the Rio Grande River and a flood that may have occurred in the 1950's.
