Monthly LODGE MEETING
December 2, 2008

Lodge Chief Travis Cunningham led the lodge in reciting the Obligation and opened the meeting.

Lodge officers present:  Chief, Travis Cunningham;  1st Vice Chief, Nathan Hotchkiss; 2nd Vice Chief, Mike Trisket; 3rd Vice Chief, Hunter Proctor; Lodge Advisor, Dan Wolboldt;  Staff Advisor, Ernie Crawford.

Lodge officers not present: Secretary, Skyler Lester.

Troops represented by membership:  6, 8, 13, 17, 22, 55, 2081, 2055.

Troops not represented by membership:  9, 14, 21, 31, 35, 43, and 45. 

Old Minutes

The minutes of the last meeting were read.

A motion to approve old minutes was made by Eric Zavinski.  Mike Crone seconded the motion, and it was passed.

Financial Report

We did not have an updated financial report.

Committee Reports

Activities - Fun days on Nov 21-22 had a good turn out next fun days are Dec 19-20th.
Ceremonial Team - Meeting next Thursday at 6:00, Hunter Proctor and Eric Zavinski are doing well at learning their parts.
Conclave - June 12-14 Must have money in before April to get lower cost.
Indian Lore - Meeting this Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30.
High Adventure/ NOAC - If you want to go to a high adventure place see Mr. Wolboldt or an officer for a form.
 Brotherhood – 2 members showed up tonight and have learned a lot.
Membership - Get your missing beads.
Service - No Report.
Publications - Starting a new Howler turn in articles.
Ordeal - No report.
Unit Elections/Camp Promotions - Will start elections in January. Starting to plan Chili Dinner.
Website - No report at this time.
Troop/Pack Reps - Hunter will update list during unit elections from Jan to Apr 2009.

A motion to close committee reports was made by Ryan Haslett. Eric Zavinski seconded the motion, and it was passed.

Old Business

If you are interested in a shirt please see Mr. Woboldt, we need an order of at least 48. People are not willing to pay enough money to get a quality lodge jacket.
Fun day had 13 people show up.
2255 plans on staying another night after the Klondike to work on Indian Lore items.
Chief had a great time at Custaloga town, we will host conclave on councils 100th Anniversary in 2013.
NLS is at Scout Haven, we need to see if Skyler can attend.
Get signed up for conclave, it is at Custaloga Town this year.
NOAC Aug 1-6 2009, need a 100.00 deposit turned in to the scout office to reserve your spot.
2010 National Jamboree, get signed up online and turn in your 100.00 deposit at the scout office. About 65% of staff is filled.
Family banquet is Jan 3rd 2009, get signed up at the scout office by Dec 19th.

A motion to close Old Business was made by Mike Crone. Ryan Haslett seconded the motion, and it was passed.

New Business

Voted against helping out at the mass Webelos cross over in Apr 2009.
Klondike Derby will have 10 stations again like last year, need people to help out.

Staff Advisor - I would like to congratulate all the chiefs for a great year so far.

Supreme Chief of the Fire - Not present.

Deputy Supreme Chief of the Fire -

Troop 8 won the attendance award tonight. It was an 8 to 8 tie on attendance with youth and adults. Stay being a youth member in the OA till you turn 21 so you can vote. Get non active members to the next fun day. Write an article for the Howler. Older members help Marty out with the Klondike Derby. Be the best scout you can be and have fun doing it.

A motion to close the meeting was made by Chris Haight. Mike Crone seconded the motion, and it was passed.

Chief Travis Cunningham closed out meeting in leading everyone in the song of the order.
